PK9A provides training, equipment and experience to K-9 teams that’s priceless. Our K-9 unit would not be as successful, nor would it be where it is today without the Police K-9 Association.

Ptlm. Garber, K-9 SimonSalem Police Department

The reason K-9 Breeze and I love being in the Association, is that it’s more than just a bunch of guys coming to train. It’s a family of brothers and their K-9 partners. We come together for one cause; to succeed on the streets and to conquer all evil. The Association helps all K-9 handlers succeed while on-and-off the job, bringing multiple agencies together to be available to help each handler succeed daily.

I appreciate PK9A’s support of current K-9’s, as well as how they reach out to assist you once you lose your retired K-9. Also, I like the idea of not only making your partner more tactical through various exercises but they also train the handlers to become more tactical as well which creates a solid partnership. I’ll be starting this spring introducing new techniques to my 3rd K-9 (Omar).

Deputy Beohm, K-9 OtisCarroll County Sheriff’s Office

The PK9A has been an amazing organization to be a part of. All of the advanced training from handlers with years of experience, gives new handlers like myself the best chance to make an impact in our community. The group is always there for me when I need it, and that’s what I respect and appreciate the most.

Lt. Trsinar, K-9 NukeCarroll County Sheriff 's Office

I love being a part of PK9A because the training and situations that we are put in, are as real as it gets.  We are offered real world scenarios and situations that we could very well face on duty. In the short time we’ve been a part of PK9A we have grown tremendously.

Officer Green, K-9 NeroEast Liverpool Police Department

Being a member of the PK9A gives each handler and K-9, the opportunity to train for the most real world scenarios. This, backed by a wealth of knowledge from the best dog handlers and trainers in the world. Train hard and stay deadly.

Officer Schilling, K-9 DieselCanton Police Department/SWAT

We started as a new K-9 Team with hopes of creating a model for our department to expand into a strong and successful K-9 program.  The opportunity to join the PK9A was our turning point!  To be successful you must put yourself in a situation to succeed and professionally grow every day.  The PK9A family gave K-9 Aches and myself a chance to flourish.  This family gave us the tools to succeed, the confidence to lead by example, and extraordinary experiences we would not have received anywhere else.
